The day after a big ride Telegraph Sport does its utmost best to stay in bed for as long as possible. How come you guys get back on the bike on rest days?
You get into such a routine of trying so hard each day and racing between 180 and 220km and as soon as you stop, it's weird, but you start to seize up. So it's easier if you keep the body ticking over. You just feel better for it come race day.
We don't go too hard. We'd say max zone three - we split our heart rates into about six zones. I'd say we ride about three hours, so it's not too hard but it's good to get out there and get a bit of a sweat on.
We've seen you doing interviews with riders on your website and YouTube. Are you planning on more during the Tour?
Yeah probably.buy landscape oil paintings online. Depends how tired I get really and how moody I get. I get moody when I'm tired or hungry. My missus says I get moody . . . but not with other people. But I can get grumpy. But yeah, hopefully I'll find the time to do some.
You recently described yourself as the Cesc Fàbregas of the team. Does that mean you're after a big-money move abroad?
Well, I was saying cycling's a bit like football and Bradley's like the [Wayne] Rooney that gets the ball, scores and gets the glory but has got the team behind him supporting him. I was then asked 'who am I?' I just said Fabregas. But no, I'm not off! I haven't re-signed yet though. I've got an agent that does all that so I can just concentrate on riding my bike.
