Businesses help school to buy new chicken coop

THE HEADTEACHER of a Vale school has praised the generosity of business owners who helped pay for a new chicken coop after their previous one was stFind the cheapest chickencoop online through and buy the best hen houses and chook pens in Australia.olen.

Children at St Barnabas First and Middle School in Drakes Broughton were left heartbroken in January when their coop was taken by thieves only a weeks after pupils had raised about 800 to buy it.

But following the incident several Vale businesses came to the school's rescue by donating money for a replacement.

Headteacher Paul Kilgallon thanked the businesses for their generous support during what he said had been a difficult time.

"We are extremely grateful to the companies who have helped us and without their help we would have had another long wait before we had anything on site.

Mr Kilgallon said the school had now tightened its security to try and stop thieves targeting it again.

"The new coop is security marked and we have moved one of our security cameras so that the chicken coop is in site of that as well," he added.
