Oklahoma oldest jewelry store open since 1892 is moving its Northpark
location to the west side of the mall, expanding from 4,911 to 6,615
square feet, and gaining a main entrance fronting May Avenue. In its
40th year, Northpark is southeast of the intersection of May and NW
122.
The move is expected to add a little jingle to the mall's
operations. We just feel very good about Northpark and the location,A

said Coleman Clark, a great-grandson of the founder. There's a lot of
things we like about Northpark. One thing is it has such a great local
flavor, with locally owned boutique-type stores. When we build a new
store, it pretty much means a long-term commitment, he said. With its
large vault, extensive woodwork and high-end finish, Our buildings are a
lot more expensive than most retail, he said.

still enjoys some spillover shoppers from other stores in the mall,
Clark said. The cross-mall move, expansion and new outside entrance will
give the jewelry store anchor an appearance to match its longtime
anchor status at Northpark. Clark said he hopes the changes will attract
more local high-end shops and clientele. It will cause other positive
changes for the mall, Colburn said. You benefit from buying oilpaintingreproduction ex-factory and directly from a LED manufacturer:

numerous specialty stores. It remains a strong retail presence on May.
In
Oklahoma City's north retail submarket, Activity has gradually shifted
away from areas like May Avenue, according to Price Edwards & Co.'s
midyear retail market summary. Northpark was 17.5-percent vacant at
midyear, the firm reported. The surrounding submarket ended June with a
fairly strong vacancy of 7.2 percent, Price Edwards said.
When I
arrived at the studio and saw the tools I started to wonder if a person
like me, who admittedly has trouble drawing a straight line, would be
able to keep up with the pack. The class included four students with
Lowe at the helm. As the class started and we measured our silver pieces
to fit our fingers, Lowe showed us how to cut silver.
After
cutting our pieces, she showed us how to carefully make the ends even by
using a file. I was surprised at how quickly I picked it up. Once the
filing was over it was time for the design portion. For me this was one
of the highlights as well as the most creative part of the class.
Because I was so concerned with making a cool ring,This is a basic
background on rtls. this was also one of the hardest aspects of the experience. There were so many great designs from which to choose.
The
designs - including lettering - are imprinted onto the silver pieces
(which will be made into rings) by lining them up and hitting them with a
hammer. I engraved the inside of the ring and imprinted a heart design
throughout...with that completed, it was time to shape it, fire it, cool
it, reshape it and then polish it.
The variety of tools,
including the torch, were thrilling to use. Everyone in the class,
myself included, was able to use them with ease. Any time I had a
question, Lowe was there to help me and other students. She also has an
assistant on hand to help.In the end everyone in the class went home
with cute rings we'd made ourselves, each as unique as the individual
who crafted them. Not only was the class a ton of fun, but it was also a
learning experience that unleashed a creative, design-oriented side.
The
Heidi Lowe Gallery offers jewelry classes twice every Wednesday, one
from noon to 3 p.m. and the other from 5 to 8 p.m. Some classes focus on
ring design, like mine, others offer to teach how to make earrings, set
a piece of beach glass in a pendant, or set a stone. Classes are $100
and are all inclusive.
There's a stigma that comes from wearing a
wristwatch in 2013, and it's unearned; that watch wearers are fashion
nuts, or they wish to flaunt their wealth. While a beautiful Michele
ceramic watch may make a brilliant fashion statement, it's the pure
practicality that keeps the wrists of watch devotees covered up. Reports
show that those who buy watches frequently name 3 highly persuasive
reasons to maintain a watch tan: (1) they prefer something that doesn't
need to be charged, (2) they need a timepiece that functions while
enjoying active hobbies, and (3) they find that a watch is most
conducive to traveling. With all these reasons to buy a watch, make
yours a winner at a reasonable price, by turning to Gideon's Fine
Jewelry for a great deal on D'Atlantis watches and other collections.
While you're there, check out the trend-setting Michele watches that

The
smartphone was perceived by many as the wristwatch killer. Because a
smartphone includes a clock, plus functions like a stopwatch, and,
naturally, telecommunication tools, those who haven't given the issue
much thought believe that there is simply no need for a watch. However,
the number one cause of confusion and nervousness in the modern era is
the dreaded low battery. Think back on the last time your phone battery
was lowmost likely this was a recent occurrenceand you felt a rush of
urgency and panic. Knowing the time in an urgent situation like this is
always a comfort. A fine Swiss watch from Gideon's Fine Jewelry will
keep you in the know; automatic watches never need the right cord like a
smartphone and maintaining their accuracy takes a negligible amount of
time.
Those who live an active lifestyle rarely report that they
take their smartphone along on a ski slope, on a surf board, or while
skin diving. Your world-class chronograph from Gideon's Fine Jewelry
might be too precious an item to risk cosmetic damage, but in many
casesparticularly with a beautiful Victorinox Swiss Army watchit'll be
water resistant and safe to take on most outings. Don't let your active
lifestyle stand in the way of knowing what the date and time are.
Last
but not least, there may be an array of regional times on your
smartphone or computer display, but do you actually use those? A
feature-rich watcha great example of abundant features can be found in
the Casio G-Shock and Casio Baby-G linescan feature multiple time zones,
offer tide and temperature displays, and even be powered through solar
technology. If there's a feature particularly important to you, ask one
